PREDA has been strongly supported by the college in recent years and Fr. Shay has been a welcome guest to the college on a number of occasions as have members of the PREDA youth theatre group.  The college views its association with PREDA as an intrinsic part of college life as it serves the community on a local, national and global level.

The auction will be publicised on local radio and all the proceeds will be given directly to Fr. Shay Cullen and his team by a member of staff at Galway Community College who is co-ordinating a team of teachers who are volunteering to work in PREDA this June.  The money will be used to help with the construction of a home for girls.

The auction will take place in the Western, the base for PREDA Galway, at 10pm on Friday May 22nd following the presentation of prizes for the collges golf amam held earlier in the day.  Members of the public are invited to attend, admission is free and music will be provided by local band and strong supporters of PREDA the "Amazing Apples".
